BLKness: Our Love Letter

We are The BLK Family, and we are on a journey that celebrates the richness and diversity of BLKness, from the vibrant energy of the West Coast to the languid charm of the Southeast.

As curators and archivists, we endeavor to showcase the multifaceted beauty and cultural significance of BLKness. Through the lens of food, design, and culture, we explore the nuances of the black experience, celebrating its power to influence, inspire, and transform.

We take great pride in our unapologetic embrace of our BLKness, while understanding that BLKness is a tapestry of traditions, beliefs, and experiences. It is through this recognition that we are able to fully appreciate and honor the breadth and depth of black culture, and tell our story.

Our founder, Norman King, is an Executive Chef and former contributor to Southern Living Magazine. His culinary artistry is infused with a deep understanding of the cultural significance of black cuisine. Co-founder Jamina Cole King, a lifestyle and food enthusiast, brings her passion for design and cultural exploration to create a seamless and elegant presentation of the full spectrum of black aesthetics.

Join us on a culinary and cultural journey, where we explore the best of BLKness through our curated content, cultural conversations, and stunning designs. It is our mission to preserve and celebrate the artifacts that reflect the black experience.

The BLK Family's ode to BLKness is a celebration of its beauty, significance, and cultural richness. It is our commitment to showcase the multifaceted nature of BLKness, and to create conversation and experience that unites and transcends.
